A ficus can thrive in both bright and semi-shaded spots. Just make sure not to place it in direct sunlight during the hot summer months. Once you’ve found the perfect place for your ficus, it’s best not to move it again. Is it leaning or growing too much in one direction? Then it’s best to rotate it. The more light the plant receives, the more water it will need. Make sure the root ball never dries out completely. And if you’d like to pamper your ficus a little extra: after a year, refresh the soil and place it in a larger pot. This way, it gets new nutrients and will continue to shine!
